About the Artist

I have always wanted to be an artist. My earliest memory of creating art dates back to kindergarten, when I made a bold, expressive finger painting of an olive-green army tank. To my surprise and delight, the painting was selected for display at the city library. I have been drawing and painting ever since. Art has always been a source of joy for me, but over the past 15 years, I have dedicated myself to developing my craft and becoming a serious professional artist. I am constantly learning, experimenting, and growing, and I continue to find great enjoyment in the process of painting and studying watercolor alongside experienced tutors and fellow artists. For me, becoming a professional artist is not simply about financial success. It is about the recognition that something I have created can connect with another person—that someone can look at my work and see, feel, or experience something meaningful. That connection is one of the greatest rewards of creating art. Thank you for taking the time to view and experience my work.

My Materials
I believe that quality materials are an important part of creating lasting, professional artwork. I use only artist-grade paints, primarily Winsor & Newton and Daniel Smith. I also use professional watercolor papers made from 100% cotton and acid-free materials, generally in a 140 lb. weight. My primary paper brands include Arches, Saunders Waterford, Baohong, and Fabriano. Using professional-quality materials allows me to focus on the qualities I value most in watercolor—rich pigment, luminosity, permanence, and the ability to create the subtle details and expressive effects that bring each painting to life.
